3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator System with 3M™ Speedglas™ G5-03 Pro Air  Welding Helmet provides all of the benefits of our convenient Adflo™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator system. For workers in versatile welding environments, 3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator with Speedglas™ G5-03 Pro Air  Welding Helmet system provides High-Efficiency particulate respiratory protection for welders in a robust yet compact design with ergonomic, adjustable head suspension. The 3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Respirator has a High-Efficiency particulate filter that can be “stacked” onto an optional 3M™ Adflo™ Filter (not included) for additional protection against certain vapours or a Nuisance Odour Pad Assembly. Audible and visual alarms signal low airflow and low battery charge. Available in two different Auto-Darkenig Lens options (VC TW). G5 Series storage carry bag included.

The Adflo™ respirator comes with a self-adjusting breathing tube with QRS (Quick Release Swivel) for easy one-handed connection and release. Also supplied is an airflow indicator, prefilter, spark arrestor, particle filter, heavy-duty Li-ion battery, belt and charger. An odour filter is available separately for working environments with unpleasant smells. The standard battery fully charges in about 5.5 hours depending on residual capacity and the system has an expected operating time of 10 to 13 hours when used with a new particle filter, new fully-charged battery and at a standard airflow rate. The airflow rate can be easily adjusted to suit the user s needs. The airflow is always at a constant nominal rate of 170 litres per minute, regardless of battery charge or particle loading of the filter. For hotter, more humid working environments, the airflow rate can be increased to 200 litres per minute for optimum user comfort. The Li-ion battery makes the turbo unit almost 20 % lighter in weight, providing better balance and added user comfort for the duration of a shift. The heavy-duty battery is recommended when using the respirator with a gas filter.

With the G5VC ADF, the welder can leverage variable color technology to view the weld while in dark state through either warm, cool, or natural color tones as different applications, lighting, and materials, may warrant different colors and contrasts.

With the G5TW ADF, there is a tack welding mode that uses an intermediate shade 5 light state to help minimize eye strain during tack welding applications. If an arc is not struck within 2 seconds, the welding filter will switch back to the normal light state of shade 2.5.
